TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran exported 9.5 million tons of petrochemicals during the first 6 months of the current calendar year which started on March 21.
Zagros, Nouri and Bandar Emam Petrochemical Plants ranked the first three plants with the highest exports during the period.
Iran earned 6 billion dollars from petrochemical exports during the period.
Iran's petrochemical exports for the same period of last year were only 7.8mt; however, the country earned more last year given the higher oil prices in the market.
Since June 2014, crude oil prices have dropped by more than half bothering the economies of many oil suppliers in the world.
