TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- National Petrochemical Company (NPC) supports projects aimed at reduction of pollutions and preservation of the environment, the company's chief said.
Marziyeh Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, said on Tuesday that NPC prioritizes projects and measures that aim at preservation of the environment, and is determined to fully comply with environmental instructions.
While visiting an environmental exhibition here in Tehran, she said NPC and the Department Of Environment have held very constructive talks during the expo about environmental issues and concerns that can be addressed by petrochemical companies.
Shahdaei also held talks with representatives of a number of foreign companies running stands at the showcase.
"We held talks with a high-ranking delegation from Finland and we hope we will be able to take measures to save the environment by employing the latest technologies and methods," she added.
The exhibition opened on Monday, February 29 at Tehran's permanent fairgrounds.
