A member of the Iranian parliament says petrochemical industry, given its massive potentialities, can functions as the bridge to sustainable development in the country.
Hossein Amiri Khamkani voiced the body's support for the
industry, saying development of industries like petrochemicals can blow new
life into the country's economic and industrial sectors.
Khamkani, who is also a member of the energy committee of
the parliament, further said that petrochemical industry has multifaceted
potentialities and can affect other industries which make it a bridge that
makes sustainable development possible.
The MP noted that production costs must diminish in the
sector and productivity increases so that Iran's petrochemical items can gain a
firm toehold in international markets.
