Iranian petrochemical plants processed 37.6 million tons of petrochemical products in the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.
According to the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), the
53 active plants in Iran operated at 74% of their nameplate capacity during the
period.
The facilities at Mahshahr Petrochemical Economic Zone in
the southwestern province of Khuzestan operated at 79% of their capacity during
the period and accounted for 13.5 million tons of the country's output.
Furthermore the 4 plants operating in Assalouyeh, southern
Iran, operated at 82% of the rated capacity, supplying 17 million tons of
petrochemicals.
Other petrochemical plants in other parts of the country
supplied 7.3 million tons of products and operated at 80% of their capacity.
