Petrochemical Production Beyond 23m Tons
Director of Production Control at National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Ali-Mohammad Bosaqzadeh says Iran’s petrochemical products exceeds 23 million tons in the fist half of the current calendar year (started March 20).

Talking to Shana, Bosaqzadeh said Iran’s petrochemical production showed seven percent growth to more than 23 million tons from March 20 to September 5 compared to the figure within the same period the previous year.

He said the output had been yielded by 47 petrochemical facilities.

He added that output of 29 facilities had been more than their last year output. The group of petrochemical facilities account for 62 percent of Iranian facilities.

He said the amount of output in the first six months of this year (started on March 20) was considerable regarding the season of overhaul of the petrochemical facilities.

Based on latest report of the NPC, Iran’s petrochemical output in the first five months of this year (March 20-August 21) reached more than 21,238,000 tons and the figure exceeded 23 million tons by September 5.
