The Oil Derivatives and Petrochemical Products Hall at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed offer of 27,000 tons of polymer substances and closed with PVC standing high on the list.
Besides PVCs, bottle polyethylene terephthalate, film style
polyethylene and ordinary and resistant polystyrenes were traded like previous
weeks in the hall.
In the PVC group of products on show, 100 tons of the Grade
65 Arvand Petrochemicals were offered for which there were 6,680 tons of
demand. The basic price for the commodity was 20,611 rials while it was
purchased for 20,872 rials.
Meanwhile, 16,700 tons out of 2,000 tons of PVC of Ghadir
Petrochemicals Co., offered in the Hall, were demanded.
Yet, there were demands for 1,160 tons out of 600 tons of
the 1540 ordinary polystyrene of Tabriz Petrochemical Company. The basic price
for the good was 40,056 rials and
average price for it was 10,344 rials.
Also, there were demands for 1,700 tons of the 7,240
resistant polystyrene of the facility in the Hall while just 750 tons were
offered.
The basic price for the commodity was 40,220 rials and the
average purchase price was 50,015 rials.
So, 27,000 tons of polymer substances were traded at the
Hall and volume of supply of the products was 37,000 tons versus more than
118,978 tons of demand.
