TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Bandar Emam Petrochemical Plant processed 2.7million tons of petrochemical products during the first six month of the current calendar year
The plant produced 451,000 tons of petrochemical products during Shahrivar (the 6th month in Iranian calendar, August 23-September 22) which placed it on top of all other petrochemical plants in the country in terms of their output volume.
Having a nameplate production capacity of 6.8mt/y, the plant sold 114,000 tons of its output on the domestic market during the month.
During the same months, Bandar Emam operated at 83.5% of its nameplate capacity. Its output was roughly 11.07% of the country's total petrochemical output during the same period.
Furthermore, its Shahrivar exports stood at 194,000 while its H1 exports were at 943,000 tons.
Bandar Emam Petrochemical Plant produces propane, butane, ethylene, benzene, mixed xylenes and paraxylene, which it exports to Saudi Arabia, Singapore, India,
Spain, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Belgium, Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Japan, China, South Korea and France.
